Mini Engineers (Year 1-Year 2)

A fun, hands-on course where kids develop problem-solving skills by modifying games and creating projects using block-based coding, alongside hands-on engineering challenges using Lego - building towers, marble runs, and more to explore physics and engineering in action. They'll learn key coding concepts such as sequences, loops, and events, all while building their own interactive digital creations. Each term offers a balanced mix of screen time and engaging off-screen activities, including Lego building challenges, ensuring a well-rounded and interactive experience. Perfect for young learners eager to explore the world of coding, engineering, and technology!

Bitsbox (Years 3-6)

Dive into the world of Bitsbox, an exciting platform that introduces students to text-based coding through JavaScript! Perfect for those ready to move beyond block-based coding, this club makes learning programming fun and accessible.

Throughout the term, students will explore the key differences between Scratch and Bitsbox, working on their own creative projects. They’ll build apps, program an interactive quiz, and even design their own Angry Birds-style game. As they progress, they’ll move beyond the basics, tackling more advanced coding concepts to customise and enhance their projects.

By the end of the term, students will have gained valuable computer literacy skills, confidence in JavaScript, and the ability to bring their own unique ideas to life through coding.
