Senior Camp – Each Day Breakdown (Ages 8-12)

Monday 14th: Jingle-bots
Get ready for the most fun you'll ever have with a robot! In this high-energy camp, you'll design, build and program your own robots that dance, jingle and light up the room all season long. Give your bot some serious moves, add lights, sounds and sensors that react to the music, and see how far you can push your creation. Then show off your robot on the dance floor as everyone grooves along. A hands-on adventure full of creativity and high-tech fun!

Tuesday 15th: Merry Minecraft
Get ready to build a winter wonderland! This December, we're all about snowy fun in our holiday edition of this crowd-favourite camp. From frosty villages dusted in snow to icy, jolly creations, join us for a Minecraft adventure that's magical, merry and bright!

Wednesday 16th: Young Architects Day
If you've ever wondered what it would be like to design your own house, this camp is for you! Start off by creating your dream bedroom, from basic designs and collages to a full floor plan and Lego model, complete with a cosy Christmas corner for the tree and twinkling lights. Then get hands-on experience with TinkerCAD as you create a brand new 3D design for a bespoke house, perhaps a gingerbread-style cottage or a snowy Santa's workshop. You'll develop skills used by real architects and let your creative minds go wild, designing the most magical festive home around!

Thursday 17th: Python Wonderland
Start your coding journey with the most popular programming language in the world, through a range of seasonal projects and challenges! Use Python to create simple games and festive graphics with the Turtle library, from snowflakes and snowmen to twinkling winter scenes. Along the way, you'll grow your understanding of key programming concepts such as selection, iteration and variables. If you're already a Python pro, you'll have the chance to stretch your skills with challenging extensions and more complicated programming techniques, perfect for turning a cold winter day into a coding adventure.

Friday 18th: Vibe Coding
Step into a winter wonderland of creativity and code! In this camp, you'll learn to use AI to create your own games and apps, discovering how to build your programs safely and accurately while mastering the vibe coding principles that will power all your future personal projects. Start by building simple programs on DIY.org, a child-friendly and safe platform, then watch your ideas snowball into your very own games. Finally, get ready to pitch your own app in our snowy Dragons Den competition, where the best ideas will sparkle brighter than fresh snowfall. If you've ever dreamed of becoming an entrepreneur or app developer but weren't sure where to start, this camp is the perfect first step on your winter adventure!

Our last lesson of the day is an opportunity to finish up our work, recap on what we've learned today and tidy up ready for home time!

This is just a template.

My favourite part was creating and then playing my OWN game!
