Autumn Term

Wednesday: Scratch Explorers
Years 1-3

Scratch is a fantastic introduction to coding! Using block-based coding, students will be introduced to and develop coding fundamentals through making animations, apps, and mini-games. Students collaboratively learn computational thinking and programming skills without a barrier to entry

Wednesday: BitsBox
Years 4-6

This club introduces children to a platform called ‘Bitsbox’. It’s a great introductory format for JavaScript as it allows children to learn about the intricacies of text-based coding languages easily.

In this club, they’ll build apps, program an interactive quiz, and create their own Angry Birds game. Students will gain important computer literacy skills, learn simple JavaScript concepts, and create their own original work.
Friday: LEGO WeDo
Years 1-3

We use LEGO WeDo 2.0, Spike Essentials, and Spike Prime to build drawing tools, musical instruments. colour-checking robots, and so much more! Engineering, mechanisms, coding + control, sensors, motors, and more! Our Lego robotics clubs span a wide range of difficulty and age groups - we have the right one for your school! Students will learn coding skills while using their imaginations to develop creative solutions to real-world problems, and have lots of fun along the way!

Spring Term

Wednesday: Scratch+Touch-typing

Years 1-3 

Scratch is a fantastic introduction to coding! Using block-based coding, students will be introduced to and develop coding fundamentals through making animations, apps, and mini-games. Students collaboratively learn computational thinking and programming skills without a barrier to entry. Take your computer skills to the next level with this typing-focused digital skills club. Students will learn and practise their typing skills while they learn about exciting ways to use computers creatively.

Wednesday: MakeCode Arcade
 Years 4-6

Students will learn to code through creating retro-style arcade games with Microsoft’s MakeCode: Arcade platform. Students will learn key coding and game design concepts through building personalised projects. Students can learn using Code Blocks, Python, or JavaScript, depending on the age and level.

Friday: Minis Mixed Robotics
Years 1-3 

Mini courses take pupils through coding, robotics, and digital skills for the very first time! Skills learned through our Mini’s clubs could include: algorithms + basic block coding, design, engineering, computation thinking, and more! 

Summer Term

Wednesday: Scratch Explorers

Wednesday: Into to Javascript
 Years 4-6

In this club, students will begin to translate their coding knowledge from Scratch into a text-based environment. Students will gain confidence typing code while creating their own games and apps. This club is a great stepping stone for students to transition to the next step of their computing education.

Friday: Minis Mixed Robotics

Mini courses take pupils through coding, robotics, and digital skills for the very first time! Skills learned through our Mini’s clubs could include: algorithms + basic block coding, design, engineering, computation thinking, and more!
