Learning Objectives

Whether your child is completely new to coding and robotics, or has completed a BlueShift camp or course before, this course is perfect for them.

Coding

Learn to modify games, code collaboratively, and problem solve using block-based coding. Even if children are just taking the first steps on their coding journey, students will practise and develop a creative problem solving mindset using code.

Robotics

We'll have lots of fun programming different types of robots, learning all about inputs, outputs and how robots can sense things. We'll learn about the sorts of instructions robots do and do not understand.

Sratch

Learn to code with Scratch Junior, Scratch a simple, visual coding platform that introduces young children to programming by creating interactive stories, games, and animations using block-based commands.

Camp Structure

This is a sample schedule for a typical day at camp. In between each lesson there will be a 15-minute snack break, or a 1-hour lunch and play break.

A minimum guarantee of 50% of your child’s week will be spent off-screen, when they’ll be able to create something in the real world.

What to bring

Bringing a laptop is recommended if possible as students learn more effectively with a device that they are familiar with.

Please pack a lunch, snack and water bottle.
